Description /
The project's airport St Etienne - Bouthéon is an extension and a restructuring that already exists. Located in the plain north of St Etienne, it was through this transaction to revive this "door" of the city. Through the expansion of the former terminal, the project is to provide a facade meaningful in relation to a square and open spaces reclassified in their entirety. A canvas awning tense, said the entry and gives momentum to the main facade. The existing building of 80 years, had no element of quality, apart from a ceiling inside a résille concrete. It was decided to retain it as a unifying element of the project. Under this great tablecloth, have been installed all the necessary services, hospitality and bar from the main entrance, a waiting area in the rotunda of wood before parking, a linear sobre ticketing ahead of the zone 'boarding. All secured spaces are closed by glass walls allowing dice and entering the parking transparency and partial visions on the slopes. The main facade uses simple materials, wood, concrete bouchardé lazuré for functional parts and materials for glass circulations.
