Description / 

The draft of the library of the Faculty of Medicine in St Etienne is a restructuring and expansion of existing ones. The urban setting is the site of the Bellevue hospital in a district or building is heterogeneous and dispersed. The architectural chosen for this extension was to achieve a decidedly contemporary building totally concrete gross stripping and glass elements. The grey concrete gross stripping, zinc roof and natural light gray chassis gives consistency and a presence in a very autonomous architectural space chaotic. The quality of inner light transmitted by taking daytime high and a vertical slot opening onto the main avenue leading to the site and careful treatment of acoustics fully meets the requirements of users. The compulsion to intervene in the occupied site has been taken into account during the course of the yard.
